Downpatrick Railway

Downpatrick Railway is a restored steam line based in Downpatrick, County Down.  The 1920's and 1930's steam trains and the 1960's diesel trains run from Downpatrick to the 12th Century ruins at Inch Abbey.  The trains run this short journey every weekend during summer and on many Bank Holidays, for full schedules see the Downpatrick Railway website.

To get to Downpatrick Railway from Dundrum, County Down simply head on the main road to Belfast until you reach the roundabout at Clough.  Take the second exit from the roundabout, signed Downpatrick, and follow this road all the way into Downpatrick.  As you enter Downpatrick you will see a ASDA supermarket on the left and just past this is a brown sign marked 'Railway Museum'.  Follow this sign and you will come to Downpatrick Railway.
